Membership of the GDVGA is open to playing members aged 55 years and above, of golf clubs within Geelong District that are affiliated with Golf Victoria and who have a current, official handicap. A small joining fee ($20 for 2024) is charged to cover administrative costs and an annual fee of just $25(2024) entitles members to play in all GDVGA sanctioned events, including a pennant competition conducted during the summer months. Membership also entitles you to enter Victorian Veteran Golfers Association (VVGA) events. New members are always welcome and you should contact the GDVGA delegate at your own club, or the GDVGA Secretary, in the first instance.
Approximately 12 events are scheduled throughout the year and competition fees, which may include a light lunch and green fees, start from just $30 (2024 rates). Some venues do attract a higher charge but even so, members still receive very favourable rates and enjoy playing most of the top courses on the Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast. Competition is usually individual Stableford and most events start from 8:00 am on a Monday.
Pre entry for all regular events is essential and members are encouraged to enter directly
through the website, gdvga.com.au
If for any reason this is not possible, please contact your club delegate to arrange your entry.
